Charlotte – If someone you love is affected by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, the time for legal and financial planning is now.
Come to a free community seminar and learn more about what legal and financial issues to consider, and how to put plans into place. The seminar is presented by The Alzheimer’s Association and is hosted by The Ivey adult day care. Join us on Tuesday, August 14, from 2 to 4 pm or 6 to 8 pm, at The Ivey, 6030 Park South Drive in Charlotte. Admission is free but pre-registration is requested. To pre-register, call The Ivey at 704/909-2070.
Presenters Teresa Hoover and Jennifer Barnhardt from the Alzheimer’s Association will discuss how to make legal plans and find legal and financial assistance, legal documents you’ll need and what they mean, tax deductions and credits, and government programs that can help pay for care.
For caregivers, respite care is available for loved ones during the presentation with advance notice. Call The Ivey to arrange at 704/909-2070.
