We are currently accepting nominations from the community for the Second Annual Edith Lederberg Senior Advocate Award to honor advocates for seniors.
Last year, Easter Seals South Florida’s first annual Senior Advocate Award went to Edith Lederberg, Aging and Disability Resources Center CEO. This indefatigable senior advocate subsequently had this award named after her.
Each year Easter Seals South Florida will be presenting this award to an individual who has consistently made significant contributions to policies, programs and services for older adults in South Florida. This individual should serve as an example for giving time, energy, passion and expertise toward making a difference in the South Florida seniors’ quality of life.
The award ceremony will take place on November 14, 2012 at Easter Seals South Florida in Miami, during the annual Butterfly Release event for the commemoration of the Alzheimer’s Awareness Month.
