The American Society on Aging, pills Senior Helpers, and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America have partnered to present a three-part webinar series, bringing you
relevant and meaningful resources, techniques, and ideas you can immediately
implement with people who are living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Sessions will be presented by Teepa Snow, MS, OTR/L, FAOTA. Teepa is an occupational therapist with 31 years of experience working as a dementia care and dementia education specialist.
Dementia Care:
Eating Strategies & Nutritional Awareness
This session will identify selected key factors that affect nutrition and eating when individuals have dementia, as well as identify signs that should raise concern. Intervention strategies to promote safe and effective eating behaviors and programs through the progression of the disease will be discussed. The program will cover a variety of strategies and techniques to help address concerns by sharing how to provide the right amount and types of assistance and environmental supports for people with dementia.

Shepherd’s Centers Merge in Charlotte, NC

The Board of Directors of Shepherd’s Center South and Shepherd’s Center East are pleased to announce the merger of our two organizations effective March 1, pharmacy 2012. This merger is an exciting step for our Shepherd’s Center program in Charlotte, discount as we see it as a way not only to grow our existing programs, cialis sale but to also find new programs to develop together that will benefit both our existing and our future clients.
Our Boards are in the process of combining and finalizing the administrative aspects of our merger. The first step in that process is the task of seeking out a new centralized location for the combined administrative offices. While we are actively pursuing a new location, we appreciate any suggestions or leads that you might be able to offer in this endeavor. We are looking for at least one room to accommodate our office with five staff desks and one room for meetings and storage in the areas of S. Independence Blvd., Monroe Rd., Matthews, or Sardis Rd. Any offers or leads will be greatly appreciated.
